7 Easy Sunnah to Follow
The life of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) is full of many pious deeds or Sunnah that are meaningful and beneficial in our daily lives. Yet, some may think that following a habit is tedious or may not set in the way it should be. This is not true! Even if at this stage we have not implemented the basic ones, yet it’s never too late to begin and become better in our lives.
The following 7 Sunnah are simple and easy to do on the daily basis.
-
Early to Bed and Early to Rise
The sleeping pattern is vital as it affects the bodily functions during the day. A few hours after Fajr prayers are the most blessed ones of the day. When a Muslim begins the day with the offering of Fajr prayer, he is in the right frame of mind to bring out the best of him for the remaining day.
But it is only when a person sleeps early at night, he can get up at the right time. For this, he needs to take an adequate sleep of 6-8 hours so that the prayers do not get skipped at all.

Exhibiting a pleasant smile always
A study has shown that when a person smiles, there is a release of a hormone serotonin (which is considered a natural mood stabilizer). This helps the person to become happier. But sadly, people tend to underestimate the power of happiness both within them and around them. Being happy is contagious and helps to build good relationships with others.
A positive mind with the positive attitude is the key towards productivity and achievement of goals in life. Smiling is a basic thing that a person can do that will uplift his mood and make him more contented in life. Our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW used to smile when meeting others.

Use of Miswak
Miswak are branches of Salvadora Persica tree. It contains many anti-bacterial properties that are helpful for maintaining hygiene of the mouth. Our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW said,
“If it were not that it would be difficult on my nation, then I would have ordered them to use the Miswak for each prayer.”
(Al-Tirmidhi)
Our Prophet Muhammad SAWW used Miswak when waking up in the morning. The Miswak helps to keep the mouth fresh and cleaned at all the time.

Keeping 1/3rd Rule in Eating
It has been narrated by Hazrat Miqdam bin Madikarib that our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad SAWW said,
“A human being fills no worse vessel than his stomach. It is sufficient for a human being to eat a few mouthfuls to keep his spine straight. But if he must (fill it), then fill it with one-third of food, one third of drink and one third of air.”
(Ibn-e-Majah)
Many people are unaware that food has a profound effect on the brain and body’s performance. We can conclude from the Hadith that overeating is quote worse for the body. But we should remember that undereating is equally harmful for the body as well. So, we should have a balanced meal in the balanced amount at all times. Over-consumption of food will make the person lazy and tired that is not good and become a hindrance when the prayers are offered too.

“He who believes in Allah and the hereafter, if he witnesses any matter he should talk in good terms about it or keep quiet.”
(Sahih Muslim)
Mostly people get involved in such situations where they discuss plenty of things. Many a times, plenty of matters do not concern us, yet we discuss them openly. We waste much time in idle talk or discussing about people or events unnecessarily. But when we speak ill of someone or something, the discussion becomes long for no reason at all. However, Prophet Muhammad SAWW ordered us to speak only when it is required and to stop discussing unimportant matters. We can spend time and energy on meaningful things like reading Holy Quran, or doing other related religious deeds.
