True love
As I live my hopeless days with little courage, I move myself with the mercy of Allah. Tears have become useless; it is degrading day by day!!!
- What is love?
- What is love in reality?
Wow!!! It is a wonderful feeling being in love. Here, in this article, we will only discuss the “REAL LOVE” that is, with the Creator, not with His creation; human beings.
- When Allah gives us hardship, we say that He hates us!
- When Allah does not answer our prayers, we say that he is unfair to us!
- The day that we are sad, we say that Allah has left us alone!
He gave difficulty to those He loves, He trials those He loves, He gives sickness to those He loves. It is explained numerously in the Holy Quran that Allah puts us in trials, as under:
“Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, “When is the help of Allah?” Unquestionably, the help of Allah is near.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse No. 214)
Also, illustrated by Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) that when Allah loves someone and wishes to remove his sins and exalts his rank, then Allah examine him by sending, Difficulties, Trials, Sickness, Shortage of money etc.
“If Allah intends good for someone, then He afflicts him with trials.”
(Sahih Bukhari, 5321)
When a beloved gives you a rose, you do not want to see the thorn below the rose. You will smell the rose, feel it and fall in love with its provider. When the thorn pricks you and blood comes out from your finger, you just let it flow… because it is given by your beloved… In the same way, when we are following Allah’s path and are given a trial which breaks our heart, scatter and crush us in the process, try to let it flow because now even better than attaining a lover, you attain the noor and love of Allah which flows through the cracks of your heart and strengthens it. Allah’s love is different, in the sense, that, first the thrown pricks us, then we are blessed with the flower! So be patient and consistent.
“Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for Allah is with those who patiently persevere.”
(Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse No. 153)
Let the heart breaks
Let the heart breaks, just for Him, to enter the heart. The great mystic poet Allamah Muhammad Iqbal (from Sub-continent) said,
Do not try to protect them, your mirror is that mirror (referring to eye)
Which would be dearer in the Maker’s eye if they got broken (to cry)!
It means that you should not worry if Allah has filled your life with challenges, one after the other and the mirror of your heart break with hardships, grief, and continuous struggle. This broken, crying and repenting heart, seeking refuge and help from Allah is the most beloved thing to Allah.
The famous Persian sufi poet Rumi quotes the same as,
‘‘The wound is the place where the light enters you’’.
Rumi explains, that when you are experiencing suffering and trouble, your prayers are genuine, you ask for pardon sincerely, you are more likely to be connected with Allah than at any other movement. At that time, Allah reveals upon you His presence, His power, His authorities, His supremacy and His control over creating resources from unknown sources. As depicted in the ayat below:
And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion.
(Surah At-Talaq, Verse No. 3)
Allah waits for the heart to crack, so that He can enter those cracks and let you feel how His love tastes and so that His noor can enter and eradicate your sadness, worries, distress and illuminates your broken heart. This is not an imagination, it’s reality…!
“Surely, with hardship there is ease. With hardship indeed there is ease.”
(Surah Al-Inshirah 94-6)
Learn to love the one who taught us how to love. Narrated by Abud-Darda’ (R.A) in At- Tirmidhi, is a dua of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him):
“O Allah! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family and the cold water.”
