Speak Well of Your Husband
In the beginning of a relationship we are way too happy to focus on the blacks and whites. However, with time it gradually strikes our conscience that many things are not up to our expectations and we break. Natural enough! Now what goes wrong here , in a husband wife relationship is that women are usually less of solution seekers and more of problem magnifiers. May be because we are slightly weak on the emotional side and tend to break soon.
Caution to women
Nobody lives a picture perfect relationship. Even those who appear to be doing so are the ones who are quietly mending and patching things up. The biggest mistake a woman does to her married life is trash talking her husband in public. They do it simply because they want to vent it all out. Spitting bad of your husband may cause you much more harm than any other thing can ever do. Our words form the rock of our opinions , what we say shapes our conviction . Negative shall attract negative in return . This may prove to be fatal because others may use this against you. Disgracing your husband shall afflict him deeply , diminishing his male ego and challenging him to go on to farther extents of infidelity.
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِّتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. (30:21)
Are their times when you are grieved?
There can be occasions when you feel too helpless about some issue in your marital life. Sharing it with someone exceptionally close and strong headed who is trustworthy enough not to ever disclose such talks is somewhat understandable. Even then , remember the verse from the Quran( Surah Al Baqarah) which says the spouses are the garments of each other. Protect and cover each other as clothes do to a body.
Ayesha (RA) says:
“Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “Be calm, O ‘Ayesha! Allah loves that; one should be kind and lenient in all matters.” (Al-Bukhari)
And never forget , talk to Allah about everything in your heart. Go to sujood. The best solutions lie there .
How speaking well of him will change your life?
Speaking well of him on the contrary will bring him closer to you , strengthen the bond and infuse positivity in both of you. It is proven that when you appreciate someone on any of their traits , they further keep improving at it. That’s a psychological boost you may give to your husband . All of want to be around good mouthed people. Your speaking well of him will keep his heart closely tied to yours.
The Prophet (SAW) said:
“On the Day of Judgment, Allah will not look upon the woman who has been ungrateful to her husband.” (Al-Hakim)
