Hazrat Abu Rabi (r.a) said:
“I went to a village where people told me about a woman named Fizza, living in that village that had a goat that gives milk as well as honey”.
I felt surprised to hear that, I bought a new bowl and went to her home and said to her
“I have heard about the fame of your goat that it gives milk and honey, I also want to see its blessing”,
she handed over the goat to me. When I milked her it gave milk and honey in real. I drank it and then asked her where she had got that goat from? She said:
“Its story relates with us that we were poor family, and we had nothing but a goat, it was our only way of living, then Bakra Eid festival came by the grace of Allah Almighty, my husband said: as we have nothing else but only this goat, lets slaughter it”. I said:
“we have nothing to live on besides this, and in this condition there is no order for slaughtering, then why there is any need to slaughter it”.
My husband agreed and postponed slaughtering. After that on the same day we got a guest in our home by the grace of Allah Almighty, then I said to my husband,
“it is ordered to respect guest but as we have nothing in the home so let us slaughter this goat, and as he was about to slaughter the goat, I thought that my little kids will start weeping if they will see slaughtering, so I said:
“take it outside by the wall and slaughter it, so that the children do not see it. He took it outside and when kept knife over the goat it was standing on the wall and then stepped down by itself and came in the courtyard. I thought that the goat had escaped from the hands of my husband. I went outside to saw her and saw and my husband was pulling off its skin”,
I said him:
it s very strange that a same goat has been arrived in the courtyard.
When I narrated its story my husband said:
It’s quite possible that Allah Almighty may have blessed us a better substitute of this goat, this is that goat which gives milk and honey. All this is because of the respect of a guest, and then the woman said to her children: o my dear children, this goat browses in the hearts, if you will keep your hearts pious it will give good milk, and if your hearts get blemished its milk will also be spoiled, keep your hearts good and everything will become good for you.
