Why Do Families Lack Tranquility

Muhammad Akhtar Noor Ulla said in one of his lectures that Allah SWT has kept the purpose of marriage to attain placidity and love.

Whereas in contradiction to this, what we mostly see in most families  is disturbance and hatred. Why is it the total opposite of what’s told to be done in Quran? While no one can be truer than Allah SWT.

Akhtar Noor used to say in his lectures that the real thing is that every order that is fulfilled by us can only benefit us completely when we act exactly according to Sunnah. Take the Sunnah of Wedding for instance. It is clearly mentioned that what is the right way of getting married according to Sunnah i.e. the one which is completely simple, should not be played off and has no perpetration of sin. When all these Sunnah will be followed the revelation of marriage will be performed correctly and the real purpose of marriage will also be fulfilled lawfully. On contrary to this, if these actions are not performed according to ‏sunnah sins will be performed in the name of Sunnah.

That is why Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to say that the blessing of a Sunnah will be hidden under the burden of the Non Sunnah acts and sins. And the struck of these sins will take over love and bring hatred in this beautiful relationship.

It shows that the things said by Allah SWT are right and true, but we are suffering due to our bad lifestyle. So Akhtar Noor Ulla gives the message to the people who want to see and attain love and placidity in their lives that they should perform all the acts, especially the act of marriage according to Sunnah and then see how Allah SWT brings love, peace and tranquility in their lives.

Summary

So the summary turns out to be that if Sunnah is performed correctly according to the ways Sunnah is supposed to be performed, life will be filled with countless blessings. Moreover the sins already performed can be forgiven by constant ‘Astaghfar’ and asking for forgiveness whole heartedly.

Usually following things in a marriage (nikah) are non-religious and against the Sunnah:

  1. Unnecessary dissipation
  2. Excess of pictures and videos
  3. Wastage of food
  4. Eating while standing
  5. Music and Dance
  6. Blended assemblies
  7. Wastage of time
  8. Obscenity

Everything mentioned here is a list of greater sins and it attracts the torment of Allah Almighty.
